Tiny Dimple Vase

Description

his handmade dimple vase is crafted from black clay and shaped to sit comfortably in the palm, measuring approximately 5.5 cm by 4.5 cm. Its form is soft and rounded, with gentle indentations that invite touch — the kind of subtle shaping that can only come from hand‑building. The glaze settles over the dark clay in deep, earthy tones, catching light in quiet shifts of brown, green, and charcoal. It’s a surface that feels alive, full of depth and movement, yet grounded in the natural warmth of the clay beneath.
The small scale gives the piece an intimate quality, perfect for holding a few dried stems or standing alone as a sculptural object. In the image, the vase pairs beautifully with simple yellow blooms, highlighting the contrast between the organic softness of the flowers and the polished, tactile weight of the vessel.
This is a piece that speaks to slow making — to the rhythm of hand‑forming, the patience of glazing, and the beauty of letting clay guide the final shape. It brings a sense of calm and presence to any space, offering a moment of stillness in its quiet, earthy form.
