Brooches - Straw Marquetry

Description

These little brooches have been hand made by Tracey Malady and adorned with straw marquetry.
After working on a large project (such as a tartan) Tracey keeps the extra straw that has been prepared and applies it to little wooden brooches.
The straw gives a beautiful luminous effect on the brooch which is highlighted when a light source makes contact – either sunlight or indoor light.
Great as a little gift for her or him.
These little brooches are a great way to own a piece of straw marquetry without investing in a larger piece. It's wearable art!
