Delicate soft pink and grey silk scarf with pops of rich pink.

This scarf has been hand printed with eucalyptus leaves.

The background grey colour is from the tannin in the leaves and the pot water.

Soft and floaty.

The eco-printing process I use involves wrapping the leaves around the fabric, tying tightly and boiling for many hours (4 to be exact!). I use a piece of salvaged iron in the boil, which also gives colour and interest to the finished result. I don't use any chemical or powdered mordants in any of my products. The scarves are colourfast and can be washed by hand with a pure soap.
