On the rocks at the beach

Description

Hand-thrown ceramic bowl in a rounded form, raised on distinctive arched feet that give the piece a light, hovering presence. Inspired by the contrasting textures of sandy sea rocks and the gentle movement of water, earthy brown slips, cobalt and manganese oxides, and layered satin–matte glazes are applied with loose, expressive brushwork, creating richly textured surfaces with depth and quiet movement. 19 cm w 17 cm h
