Chopping Board - "The Geometric Mosaic"

Description

This chopping board is handmade in my workshop in the Southern Highlands, NSW.

I’ve used Black Walnut and White Oak to create a geometric mosaic pattern, with the dark and light timber giving it a nice contrast. The board is made from individual end-grain blocks, carefully fitted together to create the pattern.

A bit about the board:

End-grain construction: The timber grain runs vertically, providing a durable cutting surface that's well suited to everyday kitchen use.

Natural finish: Finished with food-grade mineral oil and local southern tablelands beeswax to bring out the natural colours of the timber.
