Chopping Board - "The Basket Weave"

Description

Handmade in my workshop in the Southern Highlands, NSW, this chopping board features a basket-weave pattern that creates a really interesting 3D effect using different pieces of timber.

Each block needs to be carefully cut and fitted together to get the pattern looking right. It's a time-consuming process, but the finished design makes this board a little different from your usual chopping board.

It's made from solid hardwood and finished with food-grade mineral oil and local southern tablelands beeswax to bring out the natural colours of the timber.

Care and maintenance
To keep your board in good condition:

Hand wash with warm water and mild soap.

Don't soak it or put it in the dishwasher.

Dry thoroughly and allow it to air dry upright.

Apply food-safe mineral oil or board wax when the timber starts to look dry.

Keep it away from excessive heat and direct sunlight.

A care guide and a sample pot is included with every board.

Sizing – Please note that boards are often not the exact sizing you choose as we prioritise the pattern and how it looks over the size so they may be slightly smaller or larger than the size ordered.

Patterns – Can alter slightly depending on the size of board you choose.

Timber – please note that timber can vary in depth of colour, making every board unique
