"Birds on a Branch" Bespoke upcycled skirt

Description

‘Birds on a Branch” is constructed from pieces of Applique and embroidery from Laos, as well as some patchwork squares and Upcycled cushion covers.

There would be hundreds of hours in the initial handicraft pieces; the Laos Hill Tribe pieces, the Vietnamese embroidery and the carefully constructed patchwork squares are all hand made and beautiful.

This midi skirt is 33 inches/ 84cm from waist to hem and 34 inches/86.5cm around the waist. There are 5 belt loops for cinching in the waist if needed. The waistband is 3.5 inches/9cm wide and the belt loops accommodate a belt 1.5inches/4cm wide.

The Laos Applique pieces were originally wall hangings, and the fabric used to frame and hold them has been reused in the skirt as panels, turned hem, pockets and lining for the waistband.

There is a left side 2 button closure.

This is a truly unique, bespoke piece that will draw a lot of notice.
