Silk scarf ecoprinted eucalyptus leaves

Description

This stunning silk scarf has been hand printed with two varieties of long straight eucalyptus leaves.

The colour given by the leaves is amazing, red, brown and orange!

Placement of the leaves has created the flowing pattern.

Soft and floaty, just gorgeous.

The ecoprinting process I use involves wrapping the leaves around the fabric, tying tightly and boiling for many hours. I use a piece of salvaged metal in the boil, which also gives colour and interest to the finished result. I don't use any chemical or powdered mordants in any of my products. The scarves are colourfast and can be washed by hand with a pure soap.
