Pure wool luxury scarf ecoprinted eucalyptus

Description

100% pure wool, fine Australian merino scarf.

Hand ecoprinted with silver dollar eucalyptus leaves, gumnuts and stems, capturing nature perfectly.

The finished colours given by the leaves are tones of orange with softer shades over the scarf.

Lovely twisted fringe on both ends.

Soft and lightweight yet warm, just gorgeous.

The ecoprinting process I use involves wrapping the leaves around the fabric, tying tightly and boiling for four hours. I use a piece of salvaged iron in the boil, which also gives colour and interest to the finished result. No chemical or powdered mordants are used in any of my products. The scarves are colourfast and can be washed by hand with a pure soap and ironed gently on the wool setting.
