Description

Botanically printed textile wall hanging
Features botanical prints/natural dye colours of at least five locally foraged eucalyptus species (western Sydney).

Material: main: linen
                 hanging tabs: cotton calico (naturally dyed)

Approx 47.5 cm/18.7" wide x 74.5 cm/29.33" long + 3.5 cm/1.37" tabs at top (similar to a large tea towel size)

Rustic style
SINGLE LAYER  of fabric with RAW edges
Five tabs (with raw edges) at top for hanging, handstitched to wall hanging

Botanically contact printed (fabric was pretreated with mineral salts and iron, layered with real eucalyptus leaves, rolled up and steamed to release the natural dyes and

details of the leaves and flowers)
The mirror image is created by placing leaves on half of the fabric and folding over before rolling up into a bundle.
Colours include various shades of browns, dark grey, small areas of olive greens and yellows

Rod/cord for hanging not included

Please display out of direct sunlight as regular/constant exposure to this will result in fading.
