ORIGINAL ARTWORK - Iris Surprise - 20cm x 20cm

Description

The solid black background makes the blues of the iris flowers pop. The side by side, upright irises seems to give a more contemporary look to this design.

An original artwork created with fine, hand torn paper. On a 20cm x 20cm painted stretched canvas. Comes with a hook on the back for immediate display. I protect the surface of my finished artwork with a satin varnish which also highlights the colours. These original canvases make a delightful gift or a treat for yourself.

My technique of "painting with paper" begins with a sketched design, followed by hand tearing all the individual design pieces from my collection of hand painted papers. No two artworks are the same, due to the differences in hand torn paper and the variations in the colours of my paper selection. So each original canvas is quite unique.
